Wow! After two heel-dragging rounds, we have a game-changer this month people! A massive surge of points brings a new contender into the ring and the bottom half of the table is shaken up dramatically. I can’t wait to tell you about everything that has happened in the Fantasy League.

However, one small change to the formula. This introduction space has always been a little bare. There is little need to introduce the league, as by now, we all know the rules and most of the discussion is better suited to after you know the results. At the same time, I have been looking for an outlet to discuss all of my non-Oracle of Film projects, mainly to explain why I am absent so often (this week was a little bare with three out of five articles, plus Round Seven should have been a week and a half ago). So therefore, the introduction to the Fantasy Leagues will be my time to have a little catch-up with you all on a personal level and tell you exactly what I have been up to. For more current news and information, please follow my Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

My web series, Call Me Church.

My web series, Call Me Church.

However, to summarise where I am with my filming projects, I am currently juggling two film production companies. One of them is my own personal platform, Oracle of Film Productions, where I am creating a murder mystery web series, Call Me Church, which you have most likely heard about. The series is nearly over with around eight days of filming left, before we hit the edit. I am really excited to show you all it and I would appreciate sharing the project around the internet when the time comes. If a few of you are up for it, you might even receive an early copy to review before the release date. On top of Oracle of Film Productions, I am half of another production company called King-Collins Productions. This is more profit-based, even if we currently haven’t made any. We specialise in making awareness ads for charities (we have created an ad for an anti-depression campaign and this weekend, I am going to the highest point in Dartmoor to film an ad for gender dysphoria). On top of that, King-Collins has a few other ideas up its sleeve, all of which have to be kept secret at this point in time, but stay tuned, because I cannot wait to share them with you. That is a brief description of what I am up to. I will dive further into it, closer to the time. For now, let’s dive into the league.

Round Analysis

Wow! What About the Twinkie has marked himself as one of the fastest risers we have seen since this entire game started. What About the Twinkie (and Movie Rob who is probably praising his choice of Chris Pine), has found himself soaring with a remarkable 14 points from Chris Pine, who has two lead roles released in August and apparently shone as an actor in both of them. It is a dream score, the kind of points that we look for at the start of the season when we pick the actors we want to use. From 9th to 2nd is a fantastic performance and it puts him right behind Cinema Parrot Disco. The only downside is that now everyone should be perking up. If What About the Twinkie can suddenly put himself down as one of the top choices for winning the title from his middle position last month, that means that everyone is one good score away from claiming the top spot. Suddenly, everything seems possible.

Oh yeah, Cinema Parrot Disco has reclaimed the top spot. Drew shocked everyone by jumping to the top place, but two rounds of earning nothing has cost him dearly. Cinema Parrot Disco has jumped right ahead of him, finding herself ten points clear of him and nine points away from being overtaken by Twinkie in second place. Again, CPD proves herself a master of picking her actors, always in posession of seemingly constant stream of points that everyone else craves desperately. However, pretty much half of the table has cause to celebrate. Verbal Spew had four out of six actors score something and Kristin Wiig got some heavy support for her teams.

On a side note, there was a little debate over awarding points when it came to Idris Elba. Empire brought up the point that he made for a lacklustre villain. However, after turning over the choice of words, the complaint doesn’t bring up Elba’s ability as an actor. “There’s precious little (…) to suggest why an actor as talented as Idris Elba would subject himself to hours of prosthetics.” I decided to not knock points of Elba’s score and let 4 points stand. This was a tough decision as almost everyone has Elba and it affects this round highly. I am welcome for discussion on the matter and please feel free to complain via direct messaging on any of my Twitters. This is a friendly game and I don’t want to cause arguments.
