Wow, I let the ball drop. I am so sorry for the delay in this round of Fantasy Acting League. I have had a crazy month as a film-maker. Has you probably have seen from my recent explosion in behind the scenes articles of Rewind, my current web series is rolling to a close on the 8th May. On top of that, I have been shooting my own directorial project, Call Me Church on any day off I am given. Also, I have been approached to direct some top secret projects due for release in 2017. Who knows? You might be reviewing my films next year. But enough chatter. It’s time to focus on what you came here for. The third round of Fantasy Acting League, which sees the Michael Shannon supporters start to rocket ahead and a smattering of points from anyone who banked on the Batman Vs. Superman movie this year.

Round Analysis
Again, it is a slow but steady round for most of the teams here. Few scorers were seen this month, and the biggest scorer was Michael Shannon, who most of the players have, so there wasn’t really a sense of ground-breaking change in the tables this week. Cinema Parrot Disco scored a polite seven, cementing her place as the lead and most of the other teams did the same, biding time until their big rush after the tenacious CPD. After all, showing your hand too early, just puts you in Cinema Parrot Disco’s targets, something none of us really want.
The exception to this rule is Lily from What About Movies. She has skipped to second place, catching right up to CPD, showing herself as a possible threat to the lead. She is still eight points behind, but all it takes is for one of her players (Fassbender and Vikander always do well in the later half of the year), to give her a sudden boost and she is suddenly being crowned champion. Less could be said for her comrade in arms, Prudence, who is right at the bottom of the table, only a cameo appearance to her name. Late starter or non starter? It remains to be seen yet. The only other person that surprised is Marked Movies, who has jumped considerably. His rush of points was almost unnoticed, as he is still in the bottom half of the table, but it acts as a stark reminder that there is still everything to play for. Besides, last year proved that Marked Movies has a habit of being that surprising dark horse.
Good to see Chris Pratt and Diane Lane raising my score to something a bit more respectable.
I was also hoping Henry Cavill could raise my score, oh well maybe he can next round.
It’s still early days … I’m still feeling hopeful 😜

Check out Round 3 of this years Fantasy Acting League over at Oracle of Film! Tnx for hosting this Luke!
Round 4 will be up soon hopefully.
Cool!
I’m very happy with my results so far and I still reckon I can get much more as the year progresses. Interesting stuff as always Luke.
This movie nerd season is playing out nicely. Thanks for hosting this series. Good luck with all the filmmaking. I’ve been writing screenplays for years now. If you need feedback (or ideas hehe) I’d love to help. I’m also an Editor (writing).
Where are you based? What kind of stuff do you write?
I’m in Ottawa, Canada. I’ve written screenplays for every genre, but I’m a big sci-fi and genre fan as well as a more introspective artsie nerd 😉 I have a fun series with 6 episodes written that may be fit for YouTube and may be perfect for experimental low-end FX. You can message me on Twitter @slipthroughnerd if you like. Once again, good luck!
Cosy in the middle of the pack. I don’t think even the double points would have helped though.
