Well, this is it! What you have been waiting a whole year for. Today you will finally get the pay-off to the slow-burning points you have been building up over this last year. It has been a truly great experience for me and I have absoutely loved compiling this competition, as well as providing the running commentary. Thank you for being so supportive and please email me at shl00801@myport.ac.uk with your teams for next year, so I can get planning the 2016 race. You need to pick three actors and three actresses and get them to me for the 16th January, so I can begin.
But we still have to tie up this year. So who will take the crown? The smart money has been on Cinema Parrot Disco, who has consistently been the MVP of the year, always either on the top of the league or a few points behind. However, it must be said that there are a few dark horse creeping up behind her that could get the points. Marked Movies and Verbal Spew are both inches away from grabbing the title. Movie Rob is itching for a marathon of points. Let me tell you with the points being scored this round, anyone is in with a chance of winning it.

Round Analysis
MR MOVIE WINS THE 2015 FANTASY-ACTING-LEAGUE.
And what a victory as well. Mr. Movie has played the slow game. More concerned with staying in the running rather than dashing ahead with points, Mr. Movie has been sitting comfortably in fourth for a while now. Then suddenly, as soon as the end game drew near, he began rallying all manner of points. Two rounds in a row, he has bolstered every actor he had at his disposal. We have had some heavy-hitters this round with almost everyone getting multiple scoring actors. Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hardy stole the show with some fine turns in their respective movies, while Jennifer Lawrence and Oscar Isaac brought up the rear, makng good of their promise of being the safest bets we could choose. It wasn’t as though Cinema Parrot Disco took it easy. She fought her way up to a round 100 points and at one point during the calculations, it looked like that would be enough. For the year’s champion, it seemed rather fitting that CPD would hit triple digits and then call it a night. However, Mr. Movie slipped past her, just nipping the win. Congratulations Mr. Movie, but also to CPD for being a constant source of entertainment throughout the race. You were robbed!
I feel honoured to have taken first place, but I should also congratulate CPD for keeping me on my toes (I did foresee a close finish though)! Thanks to Luke for running the show and everyone else who was involved 🙂 Now, let’s see if I can nab a second year at number one!
And congrats to you! But I’ll be doing my best to make sure you don’t nab that second year at number one… Bwahaha!!! 😉 DAMN YOU, JENNIFER LAWRENCE & CHANNING TATUM! I knew those two got on my nerves for a reason! ;-p But, seriously – great choices! I knew a good few months back that you’d be jumping way up the list with your choices! 🙂
I am satisfied with joint sixth but I will be picking MUCH more strategically this year…
I am pleased that I drew with Drew. For me, that is the ultimate victory.
Ahh, I see what you did there! Very clever, sir.

Here;s the final round of the Fantasy Acting League for 2015. Congrats to all the winners! HUGE thanks to LUke for toiling over these numbers month in and month out. Anyone interested in joining for 2016, has less than two weeks to contact Luke. Best of luck to one and all!
What a great contest! Cinema Parrot Disco pipped at the post but Mr. Movie’s choices were very shrewd and his long game paid off. I’m happy with a third place finish but I must congratulate the winner and runner-up. Well done guys. And a big thanks and congrats to you Luke. This was excellent stuff, mate! A real triumph! Can’t wait to get rolling onto this year now! 🙂
Thanks, Mark! You know we’re still awesome… 😉 Michael Fassbender was an excellent choice! If only I’d chosen him instead of Rockwell… Lol
Haha! Yeah, I picked a couple of duds but Rockwell killed the chance of any serious scoring. Don’t know what I was thinking there. To be fair, I don’t think some of his films were released in 2015, as expected.
Trust me – he had a good few that never got a release here for some reason (two of his also starring Anna Kendrick, another choice of mine). I watched my actors very closely! Hmm… I need a life. Lol! 🙂
Yeah, I noticed Anna Kendrick as well. I thought she’d have been a good choice but she suffered a similar to Rockwell. I was a little underwhelmed with Jessica Chastain too. I expected more from her.
Oh, Kendrick did well for me at first. The big surprise to me was Cate Blanchett – a last minute choice so glad I picked her. Plus Sam Jackson will be in any old thing. 😉 I can’t wait to see your 2016 choices!
Congrats to Mr Movie. I can’t wait to be taking part in this Luke, thanks for the invite.
Got your team. I will add you to the list. Thanks Vinnieh.
Cheers Luke, can’t wait for it to start. This is gonna be fun.
I got very excited to see that I got double digits points this round… then I saw that so did almost everyone else. -_- I guess there was just no catching up to the leaders. Well done, Mr. Movie!
There is something very satisfying in tying with the organizer. This was so much fun and you did a wonderful job, Luke.
Now to start working on my team for next year…
I am so happy I drew with a guy called Drew. This made the year for me.
D’aww You’re gonna make me blush.:-P And I am so happy that if I had to be in a draw, it was with the League Manager. We’re the real winners here.
ROBBED!!! Lol! (Luke said it. Not me). 😉 Seriously – thanks for letting me join in, Luke. This was a fabulous idea & I had so much fun! I’ve been working on my new list for two weeks now… I’m taking this seriously this time!!! 😉 Hey – I’m sure I asked this last year too but voice acting in animated films counts too, right? And will it start at the beginning of February? I can’t wait for this to start up again! 🙂
Yup. As long as it is reviewed by Empire. The deadline is in a few weeks and a few weeks after that the contest starts. Whenever the next issue of Empire comes through the mail. I can’t accept teams once the mag has been published for cheating reasons.
Oh, I’m ready!! 😉 Should have my list finalized by this weekend. It’s a very long list. (Yes. I need a life!)
This was ridiculously fun, and I can’t wait to play again! I have been thinking on a team, will have to choose wisely!
Congrats everyone, it has been a sexy, sexy race. Well done Luke, the Fantasy Acting League rounds were always the highlight of my day when they were posted.
I’ve since journeyed to my secret cabin in the woods in order to compile my 2016 team in peace.
Two Sexys (what’s the plural of sexy?) Wow, I must be doing something right.
Sexi?
Hi Luke, when does this year’s acting league begin again?
The teams are going to be finalised on the 16th. Then I am waiting for the first issue of Empire so I can actually collate points.
Thanks for the info, can’t wait for it to start. I’m hoping my team will be successful.
