Wow, what an anti-climatic week. I have been looking forward to writing up the next Fantasy Acting League for some time, but this installment is the tamest so far. Don’t get your hopes up, guys, no one really scored anything. Take this month as the calm manoeuvering of certain pieces, before the race for the finish line begins. Onto the movies, we are using to score the points this round.

ROUND ANALYSIS
Well, as you can see, I don’t really have too much to talk about. While there were some powerhouse movies on show this month (Jurassic World, Inside Out), it meant very little to our teams. Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks were the only ones to pick up points and I don’t even have a Actor of the Month segment, because no one really scored ay stand-out points. Several people scored seven points (Taylor Schlling, Jonah Hill, Keanu Reeves), but the lack of five star movies (Empire gave Inside Out five stars, but didn’t really compliment any of the cast), meant that there were no show-stopping amount of points springing up from everywhere. It has made this round rather hard to talk about. Let’s give Taylor Schlling Actor of the Round simply because she killed it in Orange is the New Black this month as well. Sounds fair enough to me.
As for the teams, well… two people are worth mentioning. One is the titanic start from MovieRob. Finally getting bored of the pretty scenery around the starting line, Movie Rob wanders forward, a little confused as to what we are playing, and decides to go with 007 points. Well, what Rob lacks in speed, he has in style. Meanwhile, Miss Osbiston, Queen of the Subtle, managed to somehow use this mundane round to her advantage. She only scored six points, which while modest, as somehow been enough for her to climb from tenth place, all the way to sixth. The middle of the table was looking cluttered, but Miss Wild Things simply saw this as a quick method to achieve her sudden ascent. That’s the easy part of her claim to victory done with; now all she needs is a burst of points to catch up with Regular Winner, Cinema Parrot Disco.
I cannot believe Movie Rob finally scored something!
Hahaha! I remember thinking last month “thank god Jurassic World is coming out so Rob can finally get some points”… 😉
nah, no need to pity me, I’m good with whatever I get this year 🙂
actually am disappointed, wanted to stay at 0 points all year 🙂
I’m still happy at number 3 … Slow and steady wins the race 🙂
thanks Luke. glad to be in the race finally 🙂
I am glsdglad to see Movie Rob finally get off the starting block. I can only thank Jake Gyllenhaal for my own success.
